Q: How is the power actually produced? Q: How is the kite controlled? A: Three lines extend from the winch up to the kite, one of which takes most of the force while the other two are used for steering and controlling the kite’s angle of attack. After analyzing an array of sensors that determine the kite’s position and performance, the flight computer adjusts the relative lengths of the steering lines in order to keep the kite flying along a pre-determined path with the optimum amount of lift force.

Only a quick note today, but in one of my sporadic googling sessions I found a new start-up. And I also found out about another marine propulsion startup.
