Tuesday, 13 August 2013. The morning after the day before - that day being the first day back at work - somewhat sunny, but muggy as usual for these parts lately. On the 10th we drove back up to Vernon from Osoyoos then on up to the #1 at Sicamous, and barrelled through to Alberta. This being the downleg run ("I laughed so hard the tears ran down my leg") we didn't say much. Nor were many photos took. Here's a cloud at Craigellachie:. Today we are still fraught. But Kate's sleeping in, bless her heart.

Friday, 2 August 2013. We're booked in at the Super 8 in Osoyoos after a good drive from Trail. Good view of the valley from the pool:. Better in daylight. ;o). Spent a lot of the day in Trail. Went to the first "revived" Trail Market on the Esplanade by the river. The Columbia River. Had barbecued pulled pork and corn on the cob made by this girl:. But here's a photo of some of the Smoke Eaters memorabilia at the arena. The road to Osoyoos. And lastly. fun with hotel registration. Posted by Robert Howell.

Thursday, 8 August 2013. QB and the ferry. We had a rabbit for breakfast! But today is return day. Can't go any further west. Must return to source. Us and pretty much every other summer traveller. Visited briefly with Don and Ev Shadbolt. They're doing fine. Not enough time for a decent visit, but as Don suggested: coulda' brought more time with us. More later, when we get to Chase.
