The first sight on the inlet is Albuen (the elbow) which is a young maritime forland created from material ground from the east coast of Lolland. It is a very special place with a extraordinary beautiful light and white beaches. The island stands as the tallest in the inlet and borders hilly moraines and clay slopes towards the belt of Langeland. The majority of the island is own by the danish state and is utilized as a nature reserve with many birds and grazing animals.
