The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker: Yea, I am still here
http://fatmencantclimb.blogspot.com/2010/12/yea-i-am-still-here.html
The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Yea, I am still here. Well, I am still here! I have no excuses for the lack of posts except that I have been extremely lazy. Not a whole lot has happened since the last post. The last couple of mountain bike races that I was wanting to do, didn't happen due to a few unfortunate circumstances. As a result I started to rack up miles on the cross bike. If you are looking for a good bike, go down to High Gear and have Matt hook you up with...

http://fatmencantclimb.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker. Thursday, August 5, 2010. Back in the saddle! This past weekend was a race at Perry lake. One of my favorite trails in Kansas. Four days before the race, I went up their to preride the course, and to just enjoy spending some time on some quality single track. It was a blast! I got there about 11:30am, and met Lelan There! He was just pulling in from New York. We had a hot, but great time riding a few laps and catching up. In the end I finished fourth, and was con...

The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker: November 2009
http://fatmencantclimb.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker. Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Next, I got the cross bike back and have been putting on some good miles on it. It is such a pleasure to be back on it. It is truly. 1 is the weapon of choice to rack up the big winter miles. It can handle BIG miles with minimal maintenance. Should be back in my hands an day! I spoke to Matt Brown down at High Gear and he said that they will have no problem replacing the wheel under warranty. This past weekend I went to Lendsborg.

The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Return of the nightmare! Well, since my last post a few things have happened. Last Thursday. October 15) I was on my way out of town for the daily training ride. It was cold and wet, and I was not particularly. Excited to brave another frozen ride. I was about 3 miles in, at the intersection of 24 th. Headed north on Prairie. I tried to punch it, but she was turning the corner to go into the same direction that I was going. After I go...

The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker: April 2010
http://fatmencantclimb.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker. Monday, April 26, 2010. Well, I finally got around to updating. Riding has been going well. I have split the time between the cross bike and the mountain bike. I spend half of my time going pretty long on the cross bike for Dirty Kanza training, and tossing in a couple of trail rides to keep some level of skill. If things continue the way that they are, I should end up being a pretty good season. Up next on that schedule is the Wilson Lake Fat Tire Festival.

The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker: Nothing....but a lot of stuff.
http://fatmencantclimb.blogspot.com/2010/05/nothingbut-lot-of-stuff.html
The Vertically Challenged Mountain Biker. Thursday, May 27, 2010. Nothing.but a lot of stuff. Since the bruise was SO bad, I decided that my best bet was to just get completely off of the bike to heal as quickly as possible. So, I was taken completely off of the bike for almost two weeks! After two weeks off, I was feeling REALLY good! My energy was back, and I was so happy to be back on the bike. The question now was.what about your fitness? SO, the DK is still a go! It is officially a go! Dirty Kanza 2...

Sorry, but you know the saying, I have been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest! Pretty warm, and the sun was shining. The following week I got a couple of quality hours a day, and worked on my projects. This past weekend I was unable to get on a bike due to the flooring project, but I got a lot accomplished. This week has been nice. I have been ab...
