Cruising Cremins

Sunday, July 31, 2011. Of palaces and cathedrals. Yesterday we boarded the local train to visit the pleasure palace at Versailles. We arrived before the gates opened and were quick in the door and through security to tour the chateau, built by Louis XIV, the Sun King. And what a palace and country playground it is! After a bite to eat, we finished our tour of the gardens, including one impressive fountain that was coordinated with classical music. Very charming. Music also played as we walked the...And a...

Cruising Cremins: July 2009

http://cruisingcremins.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 22, 2009. PortofiNO, Firenze si. We had a rollicking breakfast, passing lot of seasick bags on the way that were conveniently left around byt the staff. Many of them got used, too. Dennis did his lecture, barely making it through without needing one of the bags himself. It was in an enclosed, dark room without windows. Not the place to be on rough seas! So we spent most of the rest of the day on the top deck in the high winds with an eye to the horizon. Wilma spent a good coule of hours i...

Cruising Cremins: July 2008

http://cruisingcremins.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 31, 2008. Then we headed to lunch at a small restaurant in the country with a yummy local buffet. We had some stew and meatballs and dolma and chard and pink stuff and beans and other tasty things that we couldn't get the names of. while we sat under the trees next to an olive grove. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. The beach we went to was on the other side of the island where the sun was shining brightly and the wind was blowing smartly. The beach wasn't crowded so we could enjoy the clear wa...

Cruising Cremins: and now... the rest of the story

http://cruisingcremins.blogspot.com/2011/07/and-now-rest-of-story.html

Wednesday, July 27, 2011. And now. the rest of the story. So, we must face the facts that we have been bad, bad bloggers this time out. By the end of the evening, after drinks at Adagio, we just had no energy for blogging. We are prepared to accept responsibility fopr our actions. So where were we? We taxied - tandem style - to the brand spanking new transportation museum on the river. Lots of moving vehicles of all types from all agesd and stages in a crowded but interesting space. Then we found the pou...

Cruising Cremins: August 2008

http://cruisingcremins.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 6, 2008. Last day in Rome. It's hard to believe we are leaving tomorrow. The time has flown! It was another hot day but not as humid as yesterday. We'll take what we can get! And the risotto with zucchini blossoms. Dennis had the seafood salad and the classic Roman dish tonarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with black pepper and cheese). Julie had prosciutto and melone and then another classic, fettuccine all'amatriciana, all accompanied by a lovely house white wine. We then passed through Camp...

Cruising Cremins: Here Comes the Sun

http://cruisingcremins.blogspot.com/2011/07/here-comes-sun.html

Friday, July 22, 2011. Here Comes the Sun. We spent the day at the pool and even guiltily skipped Dennis' lecture, all except for stalwart Luther who listened to the talk. That was Dennis' last live lecture. The next three will be taped for broadcast on the ship's TVs. It was the second formal night, and everyone looked dashing in their finery. Julie and Rebecca checked out the shopping district, expecially liking a local craft center that had work from artisans of the area. July 22, 2011 at 4:54 PM.

Cruising Couple Adventures with John & Daleen

Cruising Couple Adventures with John and Daleen. Sunday, September 18, 2016. Posted by John and Daleen. Monday, September 12, 2016. 9-11-16 Hole in the Wall to Toba Wilderness Marina. We found the Sun! We are suppose to have a week or so of sunny weather here in Desolation Sound and how grateful we are to dry the webs that were attempting to grow between our toes. It does make the soul feel brighter. Lots of boats stop to fish along the transit of Hole in the Wall. Gosh, they made good time. It made for ...

Cruising Critics – where everyone can be a critic. Share your reviews or read others. All opinions are those of the authors and not this sites. After taking a Thanksgiving cruise to avoid the family politics in this 2016 election year something was once again noticed. The lack of berries on the cruise. Did it matter that we paid $5000? Did it matter that this trip we had a suite? Did it matter we even had access to the dated lounge on the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas? The answer to all is no!
