Back Onboard | Cruising Dave
https://cruisingdave.wordpress.com/2010/08/15/back-onboard
Laquo; Cow's Ice Cream! After lunch I spent a lot of time on deck. Billy Joel was on the big screen again, so I watched the parts I missed the last time he was on. I also took some more pictures of Halifax from the ship. Here are some of them. At the parking lot near the ship, it looked like you could rent old-style automobiles. They sure looked authentic. I couldn’t tell you if they were or not though. How about a couple panoramic shots? The rope lights were still up on the Glory! From your own site.
A Halifax Evening | Cruising Dave
https://cruisingdave.wordpress.com/2010/08/15/a-halifax-evening
Laquo; Back Onboard. Our Final Fun Day at Sea. Around 5:00 I went back to the room so I could watch sailaway from our balcony. Glory was scheduled to leave Halifax at 5:30. We did leave on time, but there were still some latecomers. This was the first time I watched the pier runners. Here’s some just entering the gangway. These folks took their time getting back on the ship, even though we were minutes from sailing. Needless to say, the people on the bridge were not impressed. Right after the gender show...
More Sea Day Festivities | Cruising Dave

Laquo; Our Final Fun Day at Sea. More Sea Day Festivities. After the Game of Love was over I went back out on deck. Everyone was out soaking up the sun on our last day of the cruise. The pools weren’t very crowded, but the slide was very busy today, as you can see by the wet tracks leading from the end of the slide back up to the slide entrance. Without the fog, this one could pass for a Caribbean cruise picture! Next year I think I’ll order it as a starter and then again as an entrée. As I’m walking aro...

Getting off the Ship in Halifax. August 15, 2010. When you get off the ship (don’t forget photo ID and your S&S card) you enter an enclosed marketplace. This is similar to the tent market in St. John, but it’s much larger and located within the terminal building. Up next: a helpful hint for those who want to see the sights of the city for FREE! Posted in Carnival Glory Cruise Review - July 2010. August 15, 2010. The next morning (Tuesday), the view from our balcony was much better. Yes, I think it is!
Harbourwalk | Cruising Dave
https://cruisingdave.wordpress.com/2010/08/15/harbourwalk
A Visit to the Casino. The Harbourwalk boardwalk is not straight by any means. There are a lot of turns and bends in the walk. Sometimes we just skipped by them and cut through a gravel road or parking lot. If we weren’t in some Caribbean heat, we might’ve followed the boards all around. There was even a Family Guy dolphin! The CSS Acadia is located along the Harbourwalk. The Acadia was part of the Canadian Navy, and is now a historic museum ship as part of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. On the way...

CRUISING S/Y ROCK AND ROLL STAR
CRUISING S/Y ROCK AND ROLL STAR. CRUISING S/Y ROCK AND ROLL STAR. Fiji International Food Festival. Cruising Dave
April 1, 2011. I have a new post over at cruisingdave.com. Check it out! Not much, just a countdown post; but it’s still my first actual post (other than a review) in a looong time. Cruisingdave.com also received a makeover. New Post: 50 Days! August 15, 2010. When we woke up on Thursday, the Glory had not pulled into port yet. I took advantage of the opportunity to get some sunrise pictures of NYC. A tugboat came along to help us into port. The good part about cruising out of NYC is trying to find your ...

Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Paying for purchases on board. One of the main questions that a lot of first time cruisers ask us is. How do I pay for things on board? Most cruise liners have a "cashless system" established for all on board purchases and services. Upon checking in at the wharf every single passenger will be issued with a cruise card. Pre-paid credit cards and Travelex Visa cash passports are not accepted on board. With Royal Caribbean cruises you can also set up your on board account with a...
