One of the problems of the model is that it looks like the testing activities do not start until the coding is complete, which disregards the static testing and test preparations that can take place while the design is still being formulated. Another is that the fix and retest cycles are not recognised neither is the regression testing. However, there is a variation on the V-Model that addresses these and other issues.
