In late March of 1974, just one week after my 18. All most immediately, things did not feel the same. I knew I had changed. I had grown physically, mentally and was now considered to be ‘Worldly’. (M. Uch more interested in everyday materialistic concerns than in the spiritual side of life.). C) 2007 - 2015 John Vincent Prater. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Knowing that I had an up-coming appointment at the VA Clinic for a CT Scan; I checked my calendar several times during the day on Sunday. Before going to bed I set my clock. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30am. After the morning routine of Dog duty, Coffee and Medications for Migdalia and my-self, I headed out the door. Pembroke P...

From Beyond The Horizon. General Blogging, Poetry, Short Stories and More. By: John Vincent Prater. I’m tired of all this concrete, steel and glass. The smog and the exhaust from cars burning that gas. All these people pushing and shoving it’s a Rat Race. I’m so very, very tired of this God forsaken place. I miss that clear, crisp country air filling up my lungs. Blue grass tickling my feet between my toes. Your sweet voice echoing of the hills, calling my name. And the cool, cool spring rain upon my face.

Sometimes I make a comment, and sometimes I don’t. That’s kind of typical for me. 8220;I feel your pain.”. Religion, Polit...

Travel with me as I attempt to scratch some stuff off my bucket list. Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Where did all this stuff come from? Packing up the van with all of Mike's stuff was a lot harder than we both anticipated. After all, when he said that he did not own a TV, microwave, or any furniture other than his desk and bed, how much more could he possible have other than clothes? After hours of packing, we managed to grab some yummy pizza and hummus at Renee's Organic Pub. The Best Pizza EVER!

Travel with me as I attempt to scratch some stuff off my bucket list. Thursday, June 30, 2011. On the Road to New Mexico. I thought that said Texaco.". Our big idea of getting an early start on the road didn't work out as planned. Since we spent a great deal of washing clothes, packing, and re-packing the night before, we were exhausted by morning. We did manage to get on the road before noon though! However, I was not impressed with New Mexico. Although there were some views. Ay Caramba" is right! Dust ...

Voyage to the Sun: Saguaro National Park and Gates Pass
http://voyagetothesun.blogspot.com/2011/06/saguaro-national-park-and-gates-pass.html
Travel with me as I attempt to scratch some stuff off my bucket list. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Saguaro National Park and Gates Pass. Cactus, cactus, cactus everywhere! Me and the cactus! For miles I could see the Saguaro cacti growing like tall trees throughout the landscape. The Saguaro National Park. After taking some cactus pictures. We headed on up to Gates Pass. I could have camped out and stayed on the mountains for days. Coming down off the mountain was harder than going up as I didn't want to leav...
