A New Chapter for the Nielsens: January 2008
http://pandrnielsen.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
A New Chapter for the Nielsens. Sunday, January 13, 2008. Happy New Year 2008. This is an "Old Growth Tree"! Which means this tree has been around for 700-800 years! These kind of trees are scarce because of the many years of careless logging. "Old Growth Trees" like this one will put your eyes and heart in a state of wonderment. Why didn't they leave more for us! Compare the size of the "Old Growth Tree" to the ones around it (or Paul)! OK I know what your thinking. Happy New Year from the Nielsen's.

http://pandrnielsen.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
A New Chapter for the Nielsens. Friday, February 8, 2008. On a beautiful sunny day, Paul and I set out the crab traps. Ok we didn't catch any crab but we had a good time! Below, is a picture of Jack and I in front of a fallen tree. I felt so small campared to its incredible size. This was taken on one of the many trails Jack loves to explore up the road from our cabin. These men have accomplished so much in such a few short months. The last two pictures were taken of Paul's cabinet. He is so talented!

A New Chapter for the Nielsens: An Exciting Sunset
http://pandrnielsen.blogspot.com/2008/04/blog-post.html
A New Chapter for the Nielsens. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Paul and I were watching the sun set on the beach when a bald eagle flew by us with a duck in his talons for a snack! You have to be quick to see it, just keep your eyes on the big bird at the bottom. Paul's exciting commentary makes watching it worth while! We see bald eagles in this area often. They love to hang out in a huge tree that overlooks the ocean near our cabin. The weather is warming up here a little and there are many signs of spring!

Here are a few pics to show what we have been doing our last couple of days in the creek. Paul will have to do the last few details in Crested Butte! The last week we have been saying our goodbyes to everyone. The Gumboot staff took me out for dinner and drinks. Logen (My Boss) Who was always there for me! Yes I cut my hair!
