Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Here is a short definition and reason of the different types of training:. This involves running at a faster pace for short distances (say 200-800m) followed by a recovery period of 30-90 seconds. This helps to improve speed and running technique. We find a hill and run shuttles of increasing length (25, 50, 75, 100m) up the hill and recover on the way back. This increases stamina and leg strength. Or side-stepping. This exercise improves speed, technique and mobility.

We started out about 9 years ago for local runners around the Crystal Peaks area of Sheffield with Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre being our main sponsors. We run on a Monday. Night and alternate Wednesday. At 6:30pm prompt from different locations. Depending on the time of year. Each month our meeting point changes and we run on either road or trail depending on the light. Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre (MacDonalds). Drakehouse Retail Park (near Sam Jones Gym).

Holden Town
Established by Mormon Pioneers in 1855 as Fort Cedar Springs. Church President Brigham Young gave permit for the families of William Stevens, Sr. and Richard Johnson to start a settlement near these grassy spring fed hills. In 1858 a post office was established and the name was changed to honor the memory of Elijah Holden. He had perished in 1857 on the Scipio pass (nine miles to the north) in a snow storm.
