From top left - dried scallop/dried oysters, shitake mushrooms, (longan, red dates for the traditional healthy sweet beverage), black moss, one of 4 sea cucumber, lotus bulb, gingko nuts with shell.

So how differently this time? 1 handpound candlenuts, pepper/galangal/ginger/chopped lemon grass, garlic, shallots, soaked dried chilli. 2 stir fry rempah adding in to oil garlic, shallot, candlenut, pepper/galangal/ginger/lemon grass, chilli, belanchan paste, assam water, shaved gula melaka, add water. 3 Add in buah keluak nuts and fry till aroma, add water.

Sunday, March 07, 2010. 1 one tahil agar agar, one kati sugar. 2 rinse egg white and shell into cut agar agar. 3 one litre water to start and boil half away. 4 stir and filter through cooking filter cloth. 5 stir egg white into crushed rock sugar, add to boiling agar. 6 add filitered soaked "Ng Kee" - yellow cleaning agent/dye. 7 add rose essence. 3 4 litres to boil to 2 litres.

Enough of complaining cheng tng not good enough, making them at home. Here's all the ingredient to go into it:. Dried persimmons - two. Dried tangerine - slices. 1 soak these overnight:. White fungus - break up into smaller pieces. Fresh gingko nuts, break shell, soak and remove "skins". 2 wash and set aside. Pand da hai - soak and remove seed.
