Farmhouse door made from wooden shipping crate material found in the attic of a 1940's home, remodeled in 2010. Old farmhouses and vintage rock barns inspire our designs. Originally built in 1947, this home was completely remodeled in 2010. The elevation and interior were redesigned, adding approximately 700 feet. The exterior was clad in a concrete composite siding, and the interior was taken down to the studs. New electrical, plumbing, windows, roofing, cabinetry, appliances, lighting, wood flooring, and fireplace were all added to completely transform the homeyet the end result is in keeping with the older neighborhood.

This single story ranch style was the home of our client’s grandparents, located on a 100 acre ranch. The objective was to retain the original footprint of the house on its’ existing site, update the elevation, increase square footage, and add a two story element to the original design. The home was situated near a great old masonry barn, several outbuildings, an existing pool and pool house, a pavilion, and an old well house all with red metal roofs.

The exterior elevation of the home pictured here was enhanced with the addition of stone column bases and rough cedar siding. The original three car garage was converted to a secondary bedroom and bath, a craft room, and a spacious laundry room. A new three car garage was constructed and connected to the house by a screened breezeway.

In 2011, this home was completely remodeled in the vintage neighborhood where it was built in 1947. The interior was completely redesigned with a new floor plan that added approximately 1,000 square feet of living area. While the house is for all practical purposes a new homeit fits in the neighborhood and complements other English Tudor homes that were built there in the 1940s.
