It's simply not true to say we don't end a sentence with a preposition. We do and we can. The idea that we shouldn't is a hangover from Latin and is more a convention of strong debate tactics than it is of good grammar. In my opinion language can be made more awkward and less clear by applying the idea of no ending prepositions.
