HighMeadowLady: A Providential Visit
http://highmeadowlady.blogspot.com/2011/03/providential-visit.html
The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein." Psalm 24:1. Sunday, March 13, 2011. Once we got past the shock, we were so very thankful that the Lord had ordained our trip, for that particular weekend was the only weekend it could have possibly worked for us to visit. So we had a wonderful, bittersweet time together, celebrated Eric's birthday, and enjoyed Omari over and over and over again! Omari watches his Papa drive that ball down the green. I am the ordinar...

HighMeadowLady: The Shield of Humility
http://highmeadowlady.blogspot.com/2011/03/shield-of-humility.html
The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein." Psalm 24:1. Thursday, March 24, 2011. The Shield of Humility. Have you ever experienced that flush of anger, of pride hurt, when facing accusation? It can be the emotion of fierce self-defense or of deep, aching sorrow if the accusation is unjust. What can I do when I face accusation, whether just or unjust? How do I resist the temptation to inflict my own justice? I want so much to be understood. O vile and wicked ...

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein." Psalm 24:1. Saturday, March 19, 2011. On How the Lord Jesus Went to Meet His Betrayer. I am so easily distracted, even from the most important things. Perhaps especially. From the most important things. During Advent Season, devotional books are pretty easy to come by, but devotionals for Lent on the Passion of Christ? Not such a cozy story, is it? On the Passion of Christ - According to the Four Evangelists". At yo...

Hither and Yon: Politeness and Project Management
http://hither-and-yon.blogspot.com/2006/12/politeness-and-project-management.html
A sojourner's log book. Thursday, December 14, 2006. Politeness and Project Management. Has some good things to say about communications as the key to. He suggests that "Politeness can kill a project". And although I have been accused sometimes of saving my tact for a more important future display, I’m not sure that “politeness” per se. Thursday, December 14, 2006. I've seen PMs for whom politeness is the ABC of their work and those who prefer efectiveness over politeness. I've seen situations where ...

Hither and Yon: One and Many
http://hither-and-yon.blogspot.com/2006/12/one-and-many.html
A sojourner's log book. Wednesday, December 6, 2006. One of the commenters on an earlier post suggested that I separate out my project management comments into a separate blog. This actually raises a broader issue, one which can be viewed from a number of angles. So here is my attempt to explain the eclecticity (. Ultimately, everything that is. Is both 'one' and 'many'; both connected to everything else in relationship and individually significant in its distinctive diversity. A short book.) The lea...

ovadya: Alas, Alack
http://ovadya.blogspot.com/2009/06/alas-alack.html
Sic transit gloria mundi. I have been completely remiss in keeping up with the blogging world. Partly because I have only had internet one other time than this, but excuses, I know. What I have decided to do is as soon as I get home, I'm going to start posting my journal entries from Germany, so that I can catch up on what I have not filled in the internet world with. . Thus, solidifies my love for British book shops, I think you can understand why. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

ovadya: Great Is Thy Faithfulness
http://ovadya.blogspot.com/2009/07/great-is-thy-faithfulness.html
Sic transit gloria mundi. Great Is Thy Faithfulness. One of my favorite songs. Words so true. Morning by morning I wake up to find . The power and comfort of God's hand in mine . Season by season I watch Him, amazed . In awe of the mystery of His perfect ways . All I have need of, His hand will provide . He's always been faithful to me. . I can't remember a trial or a pain . He did not recycle to bring me gain . I can't remember one single regret . In serving God only, and trusting His hand .
