The Hum of Desperation. Tuesday, April 07, 2015. 2015 Books Part III. This Is Your Brain on Music: The Science of a Human Obsession. By Daniel J. Levitin - I wanted this to be a five-star book. I love music and I enjoy books about the brain. But somehow this didn't quite work for me. Levitin begins with a lesson on music theory, but I never really "got it" and struggled through the book. 4 stars. Ticket to Ride: Lost and Found in America. Thin Is the New Happy. But perhaps not until I die). Then I bo...

http://www.leeunwin.com/2011/11/usa-cycling-2012-cyclo-cross-national.html
Wednesday, November 16, 2011. USA Cycling 2012 Cyclo Cross National Championships. Lets Race, I have been a little blown and MIA from the local seen, but I am trying to get my mojo back and re-focused for this baby. I just needed to take some time away from racing so I could get the hunger back. I can feel the desire starting to return and the fact that this is happening 2 blocks from our Clinic. Is a major bonus. I think if I get a month of skiing in I should be ready to rock. Posted by L5 Racing.

Just another WordPress.com site. Getting My Legs Back. 2013: Up & Down →. November 5, 2013. Being in my late 30s I grew up just like most other kids my age with the expectation to find someone of the opposite sex, get married, have kids and/or become career focused (since career was such an 80s era drive). Over 4 and a half years later I can tell you that I find both men and women attractive physically and emotionally. I do tend to be more attracted to those that don’t fit well into a gender ro...This en...

Steve Driscoll-Because It Is About The Bike! Monday, June 26, 2006. Hold them to their Word! Drugs make people do crazy things. Things out of their control, I believe. When I got to the E.R after my accident, Kelly Sparks, my Physician Assistant (and fellow bike racer) was attending to me, pre-pain drugs. I begged Kelly to get me the doctors that would get me racing again, whatever it took. He said he would. Fast Forward 22 months later, and Viola! Posted by Steve Driscoll at Monday, June 26, 2006. http://stevendriscoll.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Steve Driscoll-Because It Is About The Bike! Wednesday, April 26, 2006. Day by Day, Hour by Hour. I've been a good boy. Doing my stretches and all. Have been using the pain drugs (Ultram) as needed, trying to help Stevie get his groove back. It's amazing, it's day by day, hour by hour. I guess I can see some light at the end of the tunnel, but jeez-louise, how long IS this damn tunnel! Looks painful, just looking at it. I'll keep my stretches going, do some yoga and hopefully be back on the bike, soon!
