It Can’t Just Be Filler – Darla Walz
https://darlawalz.wordpress.com/2015/05/30/it-cant-just-be-filler
You get ideas from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time. The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we're doing it. – Neil gaiman. It Can’t Just Be Filler. May 30, 2015. I have found that it is very difficult to write a book in chronological order. My head won’t let me switch focus so easily, so I am trying to get better at jumping around and writing what my head. I am not very good at pointed filler. You make it sound like an actual book!

The Almanac Of Life. Life, Mind, and Emotion. August 7, 2015. April 21, 2016. I wish to slip away all from my life, all that I have known of it. To hide, in the comfort of darkness and anonymity. It’s an inexplicable notion of solitude calling out to me. I crave it. To leave and depart, away from friends, family and mindless acquaintances. Live a life alone among strangers. Maybe in the echoing mountains. They aren’t too far from here. Nothing we build, we create, is beautiful. Love is fickle, the ch...

https://butterflymilkweed.wordpress.com/2015/07/31/top-25-finalist-in-glimmer-trains-may-new-writer-award
Top-25 Finalist in Glimmer Train’s May New Writer Award. July 31, 2015. I am so excited and thankful that Glimmer Train honored my short story “Army Mom” as a Top-25 finalist in their May New Writer Award. It is a story about a woman whose husband’s diseased chihuahua is kidnapped on the last day she has to spend with her Army new-recruit of a son. Parts of it are reportedly hilarious, even to myself. I hope it finds a good home, so you can read it. Posted in Jennifer Porter Author. Follow me on Twitter.

A year ago, I gave one of the writers in one of my groups my cell number. The man was old, charming and friendly, and I’ve known him for quite a while. He told me he was technologically challenged, didn’t have access to Facebook and didn’t use email, so he asked if he could R.S.V.P. to my meetings via text. Okay, I said, and sent him my number. Last week, he sent...

May 23, 2015. Character creation, two words that for any writer or anyone who has ever role-played or played a roleplaying game (table top, LARP, or video game) is familiar with. Without a character you can’t play the game, but what about writing? The answer may seem simple, or complex. Truth be told, there is no right or wrong way to creating characters. Everyone, writer and gamer alike, has a method. Back to writing…. Balancing Writing and Editing. A Busy Six Months →. May 23, 2015 at 10:22 am. Good ad...

Wreck in Progress | Storyteller

Author of Winthrop Risk, Detective-The Mystery of the Missing Hamster on Amazon and Kindle. Yes, I’m coining a new phrase. WIP now stands for “wreck in progress”. I pulled out the file for a story I put aside last summer. Its appalling state of confusion prompted me to label it a WIP. Still, my distance from the project gave me some perspective on what can stay and what needs to be put down as mercifully as possible. This will involve rum. Lots of it. She Did Her Best. Black Cats and Good Luck. On A Writ...
