I come from a boating family so i've been on the water all my like. i graduated from the Sound School in New Haven in 2001 and i've been working for Fairclough Sailmakers ever since. The only sailing i get to do is with my bro on his 20' Hobie Cat. i just made a new Mylar and Dacron sail for him and i'll tell you, that thing is blazing fast. I also make bimini's, dodgers, sailcovers, awnings, backdrops, winch covers and damn near covers for anything. I hope this community takes off. Post a new comment.

Cross Canadian Ragweed - Lighthouse Keeper. Got up early this morning to go out on the boat. My wife had a baby shower to attend at 3, and had to leave the house at about 2 in order to get there on time. so we didn't have much time. But my major goal was just to test if I broke the outdrive. You see, I learned AFTER last time going out, that you arent supposed to operate outdrive with it all the up. That makes sense after reading it, but during I didnt even think of it. HOW EASY WAS THAT! Holy crap. ...

So I picked up my new prop today. That SHOULD make the last thing that this boat needs before it gets into the water (first time for me with this boat). Since I've bought it I had to fix the tilt, and rewire a few things like the blower and the bilge pump. Lucky me, my neighboor across the street is a marine mechanic - so he hooked me up with a good deal on the tilt pump and he did most of the work for me. Weather reports are talking about thunderstorms though. I don't need that, that's for sure.
