Rainbow Kitchen has served the needs of Victorians since 2001. Provide nutritious meals and fellowship for those in need. Create a safe and comfortable environment which enables the building of relationships, community spirit and support networks. What do we do? The Rainbow Kitchen provides a nutritious, tasty hot lunch to approximately 125-140 people daily, Monday to Friday, 50 weeks a year -over 36,000 meals a year. In addition, approximately 40 meals are taken home each day. Who are our guests?

Volunteers learn from guests about the issues they face on a daily basis. But more importantly, the Victoria Rainbow Kitchen educates all volunteers about what is meant by helping. Perhaps the biggest need of guests at the Rainbow Kitchen is for understanding and compassion and this only comes from spending time with individuals and being interested in their lives. The lives of volunteers and the guests are enriched. Cooking. Cleaning, Fund Raising, Public Relations, Produce collecting and sorting.
