CT PhotoMemories: June 2015

160; – family sessions. You may remember this family from past posts. I've joked about their "country" roots.or at least my perception that they channel Shania Twain and Randy Travis.but, we'll just let that go this time around. They happen to be one of my favorite families to photograph.I'm not even sure I can remember when or how we first met, but regardless of details, it began a connection that has stood the test of time. I look forward to their session every year! Can't wait to see them again!

160; – Personal. With all this Ohio rainy weather, it has put a bit of a kink in my photo session schedule. However, that just means that my camera is loaded and ready to shoot, so it's a perfect time to "document life" for my OWN family! So, I had to get creative! If you've taken a Snapshop with me, you'll remember me talking a lot about "storytelling" and "story elements". It's how I approach any session. How will you document life for your family this weekend? I'd love to see what you do! 160; .

What to wear from a NONfashionista. Okay folks.it's that time of year. The time that I get all anxious about what my family is going to wear for family pictures. It really is ridiculous ya know.I'm a photographer for heavens sake.I should KNOW this. But, here's the thing.I'm not all into fashion.I'm not all into spending a ton of money on outfits that look cute in a picture so that my kids can cram it to the back of their closet never to be seen of again because "It's too scratchy! And then MAKE IT WORK!

She's the Queen Princess in her household of boys. Her love for them is unconditional and evident in how she interacts with them all. It's the little things really.the way her husband holds her hand, or the way the boys tackle and laugh.there is a freedom of love in their home. When someone knows, to the deepest part of them, that they are loved and valued.a confidence grows.it transcends temperament or even propriety. For her husband, her boys.her mom. And I can see it returned to her as well. However, ...

Patience is a Virtue. 160; – family sessions. I'm a little out of order with my blog posting, but I wanted to give a shout out to this amazing family. You see, summer can get a little WILD and CRAZY in the T household over the summer.and this year, we jammed not only reunion trip to Florida, but camp up north as well.throw in multiple handfuls of photo sessions, orthodontist visits and walking the dog.well, it just makes for some unique juggling techniques. Anyhoo.this fam waited an extra. 160; .

CT PhotoMemories: Baptism 2015

160; – Events. The application that our church holds for the term or action of Baptism is "an outward picture of an inward experience.". No matter your religious affiliation, it truly is a beautiful event and I look forward to it every year. The beach is filled with kids and families and a boatload of HAPPY! Even kayakers paddled up to watch! A lot of singing and worship takes place with people that just want to include and welcome anyone that happens to stroll along! 160; Posted by ctphotomemories.

I had a mentoring session this week. It was actually the day after I had a trial "Snapshop #2" with one of my Snapshop Grads who won a contest I ran on our private facebook group. It was a week of loads of information. Well, that and laundry.but, you don't read this blog for my laundry updates, so I'll get back to the main point! Mentoring sessions are really fun. Please don't misunderstand and think that a mentoring session is better or worse than a regular Snapshop class.they are just different. I ment...

CT PhotoMemories: Friends for Life...{SEEing ME}

Friends for Life.{SEEing ME}. 160; – Personal. I assume when people think of "friends" they think of those people that are of like minds.ones they can chat with, go out to parties with, laugh, drink, goof around with. It goes without saying that friends are people that you LIKE to be around. Family.they just come with the package.you don't get a choice with family.they are just part of your "crazy" and sometimes that can cause a level of stress for some. This changes the dynamic. Don't get me wrong, we...

By now, if you've followed me for at least a little while, you all know that I have daughters. This alone has contributed to my roller coaster of emotional outbursts and extroverted "crazy" that I like to call ME! You've heard me wonder at times what it would be like to have a son.you've heard me lament over "meangirls" and middle school drama.but mostly you've heard my tales of our "princess household" and our King of the castle (my hubby/their daddy). She's a reader and finds beauty and joy in explorin...
