Cumberland Trail Volunteers: Sale Creek
https://ctvols.blogspot.com/2015/07/sale-creek.html
We hike and help maintain Cumberland Trail. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Joan Hartvigsen, who lives in Winchester, killed two birds with one stone today. She shopped around on the internet for a cat to adopt and found what she wanted at the Pet Placement Center in Red Bank. She paddled with us and picked up the new kitten on her way back home. Paddling up Sale Creek. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Trail Maps and Video. Send question, comments to:. CT Volunteers at Work.
Cumberland Trail Volunteers: Collins River

We hike and help maintain Cumberland Trail. Saturday, July 11, 2015. Thanks to Sara Pollard and MTTA, Cumberland Trail Volunteers were afforded the opportunity to explore a river new to us. The Collins River near McMinnville treated us to an excellent day on the water with ideal conditions for recreational kayaking. I expect we will be looking forward to another float down this waterway. Don's photos and video. Going ashore on a sand bar. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Trail Maps and Video.

Cumberland Trail Volunteers: Road Walk
https://ctvols.blogspot.com/2015/07/road-walk.html
We hike and help maintain Cumberland Trail. Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Ten hikers showed up for today's approximate four mile road walk at Prentice Cooper State Forest. We began at Davis Pond about 9:00 AM, hiked out Pot Point Road to the intersection of Lower Pot Point Road, and followed the lower road back to our starting point. Since the entire hike was on dirt roads, we stayed out of weeds so ticks and chiggers went hungry today. Hike begins at Davis Pond. Group photo on Pot Point Road.
