Thoughts on God, life in general, and anything else I might want to babble on about. Wednesday, August 24, 2005. The Joys of Moving. And a short Baptist ceremony. We didn't really have much of a honeymoon, however, because we had to drive across the country from California to Pennsylvania. The dog out." If I was picking at a scab, my wife would say, "Leave that alone, you idiot." The natives say, "Let that alone, you idiot." Just funny little things like that. Posted by Caleb @ 12:01 PM.

Thoughts on God, life in general, and anything else I might want to babble on about. Friday, November 04, 2005. My brother and I were very fortunate as children. We grew up knowing and being near all of our grandparents. As a result of our proximity to them, we were able to spend a lot of time with them. We have many memories of our grandparents. More specifically, we have many memories of Granny and Papaw. Papaw was patient and he was kind. We are all human and we all show signs of being impatient o...

I'll only be able to refund the excise tax," she reported after her lengthy deliberation with a co-tortoise person. "But this is crazy," I said, "this sticker has never and will never be on my tag, in fact, the old tag hasn't even expired yet! We can only refund the excise tax.". This is ridiculous, why? To all of this, the man replied,. The only thing I can say ...

At this point, they have made the decision to not have him undergo chemo, and instead he is rehabbing to regain the use of his left arm, which, by the nature of the surgery suffered some damage. Zeb is also now walking by himself. Oh, me of little faith. I believe, Lord, help me in my unbelief. Posted by Caleb @ 1:25 PM.

Thoughts on God, life in general, and anything else I might want to babble on about. Friday, June 18, 2004. A Little Piece of My Abnormal Life. I visited the house I grew up in tonight. Now, for most people, this may not be an odd experience. For me, it was beyond the pale of orthodoxy. My parents no longer live in the house, but some people I know do. Even though my dog lives there (it's a long story, and he's a BIG dog.) I don't go out there much. It's just too weird. Posted by Caleb @ 7:34 PM. Last ni...

From Hall's "Reading Scripture with the Church Fathers", pg. 71. Posted by Caleb @ 4:33 PM. Sunday, August 22, 2004. I climbed Pyramid last weekend. This time, it was a clear and warm day. The view was awesome, awe inspiring, and beautiful. You just don't see that kind of stuff in Kansas. I think I'm going to take a nap and then go for a run at F...

Thoughts on God, life in general, and anything else I might want to babble on about. Tuesday, November 09, 2004. So here I am, sitting at the computer in my house overlooking Mission Lake and Woody Island, watching the wind blow by filled with rain. Kodiak is an odd place. Just this past Saturday and Sunday, it snowed. And today, it's raining. Of course, I know that the temp. is probably just above freezing, so at any given moment the rain will turn to sleet and ice. It's not right to respond to terrorism by terrorizing other people." Howard Zinn. By John Densmore of The Doors (Wait's letter is in reaction to Densmore's article). I'm impressed. I don't know a thing about Densmore, didn't even know he was in The Doors, but I like what he has to say. I don't know what I'd do in his position, but I hope I'd have his scruples (if scruples means what I think it means). Posted by seth at 9:58 AM. I can't describe it. It's neat - go do it.
