Friends of the Cuckmere
Friends of The Cuckmere. Founded in 2012 the Friends of The Cuckmere aim to promote community involvement, understanding and enjoyment of the Cuckmere and surrounding landscape of the Cuckmere Valley, helping to protect and enhance the natural habitats and cultural heritage of the Cuckmere. Recently the Friends gained permission to repair two of the most vulnerable places along the west bank of the estuary. A couple more repairs are needed to ensure that the banks don't break down.
