http://www.cuisinevixen.blogspot.com/2005/11/food-review-johnnys-half-shell.html

Sunday, November 20, 2005. Food Review: Johnny's Half Shell, Washington D.C. A friend and I decided to go out to dinner for her birthday. We wanted to go to Komi, but when we showed up at its door in Dupont, we realized it was closed. (Komi seriously needs a website, because the hours provided by the Washingtonian magazine are wrong! So we decided to find another good place. We had both heard of Johnny's Half Shell, so we went there. Unfortunately, we should have stopped there. We also ordered a glass of...

Tuesday, August 23, 2005. Sirloin Steak and Mushrooms Sauteed in a Red Wine Reduction. I tried this recipe for the first time this past weekend. It was easy and worked like a charm. Here’s how you can do it too:. 1 Sirloin Steak (normal pack from your local grocery store). 1 carton Baby Bella Mushrooms. 2 tbsp Olive oil. 1/2 cup Red wine, preferably a shiraz, merlot or cabernet. Cube the sirloin steak. This is optional; you can opt to cut it into 2 personal steaks. Lightly coat the steak in corn starch.

Tuesday, November 29, 2005. 1 medium sized bag of cranberries. 2 heaping tbsp of orange marmalade. 1 Place cranberries in a saucepan, over medium heat. Add 1/5 cup of water. Allow berries to pop. 2 Add orange marmalade and sugar. 3 After the mixture is sufficiently simmered to create a thick sauce, remove from heat and refrigerate until ready to serve. 4 If desired, serve with a spoon of sour cream. Posted by Cuisine Vixen @ 3:08 PM. I have always used orange juice but marmalade sounds great!

DC Demoiselle: October 2005

Tuesday, October 25, 2005. So I have a really hot intern. Went to one of the best colleges in the country, has great hair, dresses really well, great manners, enthusiastic, etc. I flirt with him shamelessly. Well, I found out today that he's gay. Dammit! Don't they say that women mature faster than men? When do men catch up with us? Are we always more mature? In any case, no intern for me. Sigh. Oh, well. At least no other woman can have him, either. Thursday, July 28, 2005. Marriage. Everyone's Doing It. Marriage. Everyone’s doing it. Aren’t you? I’m freaked out by this prospect. Since when was marriage the new dating? Devoted an article to it in March 2005. I have a couple good friends getting married in the next couple of months, almost all of which subscribe to the 3 reasons that MC outlines:. When everything in your life seems uncertain from your career path to post 9/11 safety concerns marriage may seem like the perfect, calming antidote. Then,...

DC Demoiselle: September 2005

http://dcdemoiselle.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 29, 2005. I'm taking off work tomorrow. The LSAT is on Saturday, and my teacher told me that I have to relax before I take it.not to think about anything, play a round of golf, etc. So I'm getting a massage tonight at Elizabeth Arden. My favorite) and not thinking tomorrow. I'm feeling a bit more confident this time. Last time I took the LSAT, I really didn't try- I stupidly thought it would be easy. Logic is easy, right? I thought. I should be able to figure it out. My victim is Guy 7.

Friday, August 26, 2005. Sleep Tight, Don't Let The. I have a bed bug. Infestation. I don’t even really know how we found out about itI could have gone for months without attributing the weird little red bites on my neck to my bed. (And frankly, it probably has been months.) I think my roommate might be more clued in (or, if possible, more hypochondriacal) than I am, so the apartment management checked it out and confirmed our worst fears. Can’t wait to sleep in my own (de-bugged) bed tonight! He picked ...

Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Okay, so I've written all of this down before in a somewhat eloquent manner. And then I lost it. Goes to show that I should write all of this in a Word doc or something before I attempt to upload. Anyway, I have been admittedly posting very infrequently. I've devoted a lot of thought to this, and realized that I still haven't found my blog "niche," so to speak. So, I find that I am constantly struggling with the desire for people to read my blog, and the fear that someone I kn...

DC Demoiselle: Where oh where have my Red Sox gone?

http://dcdemoiselle.blogspot.com/2005/10/where-oh-where-have-my-red-sox-gone.html

Thursday, October 06, 2005. Where oh where have my Red Sox gone? The Red Sox return to Fenway tomorrow to a crowd that's sure to be pulling hard for them. After all, the Red Sox always come back. But if they don't? Tonight determines whether they move on, and for some reason, I'm not as optimistic this year as I was last year. And, should my BoSox fail, you can be sure that I'll be out there cheering against the Yankees. Posted by Demoiselle @ 5:41 PM. Washington Cube Was Here. #292. Washington, D.C.
