Kasha's stuff: April 2008
http://kashamaria.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
What makes me happy. Tuesday, April 22, 2008. I'm in the throes of it - spring cleaning. My teeny-tiny home is turned upside down right now. Stuff is everywhere. I'm so happy to be packing away the winter togs - boy, did we have a long winter! The wash machine is going and I'm washing floors and windows. We have the perfect day for spring cleaning - the temps must be in the 60's with a breeze off the lake. I can smell the lake - I've missed that this winter. I love the fresh smell of the lake. All conten...

Kasha's stuff: Studio Work
http://kashamaria.blogspot.com/2010/03/studio-work.html
What makes me happy. Saturday, March 20, 2010. Soozi came over today and we hit the studio and made earrings and pins and pendants. Well, actually Soozi made the item and I just finished it off. They are all lined up now waiting to be priced so they can go to a new home. We are all smiles thinking about that possibility. Closing the studio for the rest of the evening and heading over to the school to attend the matinee performance of The Missoula Children's Theater's The Pied Piper. Posted by Maria Birch.

Kasha's stuff: March 2009
http://kashamaria.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
What makes me happy. Wednesday, March 25, 2009. You know how it feels when you get together with really good friends and have a good time. Well, I had that feeling this weekend. I celebrated and cut the rug with some really good Hmong friends - danced way more than I have since this time last year. Absolutely love how the Hmong celebrate and appreciate their friends. Good food, good company, and good dancing. But it was hard on my old knees. Here's a shot of some of us doing lamvong. Posted by Maria Birch.

Kelly & Jim: ..and another by Frost
http://kimandjelly.blogspot.com/2011/05/and-another-by-frost.html
Monday, May 23, 2011. And another by Frost. Out through the fields and the woods. And over the walls I have wended;. I have climbed the hills of view. And looked at the world, and descended;. I have come by the highway home,. And lo, it is ended. The leaves are all dead on the ground,. Save those that the oak is keeping. To ravel them one by one. And let them go scraping and creeping. Out over the crusted snow,. When others are sleeping. And the dead leaves lie huddled and still,. Of a love or a season?

The Quince and the Quail: September 2011
http://thequinceandthequail.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
The Quince and the Quail. Recipes and ruminations on food and herbs. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Blackberries with Cacao Nib Cream. Blackberries are in full effect here, and I imagine, almost everywhere else. Along roads, and rivers and backyards; their bounty is unavoidable. Most of the year the brambles are unwelcome invaders: stealing valuable garden space at an unfathomable rate. But around this time, their dominating nature returns some of its yield. Here's the very simple recipe:. 1/4 cup cacao n...

Being and Thyme: June 2007
http://beingandthyme.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 17 June 2007. BBQ on my mind. Ah, England. Land of rainshowers that come out of nowhere, and random hailstorms. Land of thinking that summer has come, only to discover that you put away your coat to quickly when all of a sudden you are faced with three straight days of cold downpours. Sunshine is not anything to take for granted around here, so make the most of it when we can. It has been an ordeal, I tell you. Smoked mackerel dip (Graeme really needs to post the recipe for this, it's amazing).

The Quince and the Quail: April 2011
http://thequinceandthequail.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
The Quince and the Quail. Recipes and ruminations on food and herbs. Monday, April 11, 2011. This salad uses peas, eggs and tons of herbs. It is fresh and vibrant- a step away from the average mayonnaise-laden egg salad (notice I didn't say "a step up"- that version can be good as well). 4 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and coarsely chopped. 1 cup peas- fresh shelled or frozen and thawed. Large handful of herbs- parsley, mint, cilantro, dill etc. 3 scallions, chopped. 3 tablespoons capers, chopped or whole.

About Elle and Daily Grub. Laquo; Daily Grub Updates. July 25, 2010 by Elle Lien Lynch. I’ve been wanting to start these weekly posts for some time now as an accompaniment to the menu, the story behind them, where the inspiration came from, how I found or concocted recipes, what worked and what really didn’t work before I put chalk to board. Most direction comes in the way of what I. How much stress do I really want to put on my little toaster oven this week? Can I make a cobbler in there? I salivated...
