My mother always says that the sound of the jars popping, singing out their seal is like music to her ears and i always thought she was a little crazy. then i became a little crazy. hearing that metallic pop is a most definite congratulations for a job done properly. all the effort of slicing, dicing, mincing, crushing and packing will be rewarded and preserved for 6-12 months. 2 1/2 cups strawberries, washed and crushed. 1 1/2 cups port. At least i do.

Thursday, May 20, 2010. A Little Homage Being Paid to One of My People. We are celebrators of david rocco in my house. we watch his show on the food network, use his cookbook when we're bored of our usual pasta dishes and appreciate his laid back, but very italian measurements of quanto basta (meaning 'just enough' in italian, or in other words, use your own judgement!
