On: July 5, 2011. So, a few months into writing this blog, I decided that I would try to write at least twice a week. I broke my word last week and only wrote once. With that said, I had a great Fourth. Family, friends, food, fun. Can’t get any better than that. I also got to bake some Strawberry Streusel Bars for my grandmother. On: July 1, 2011. Anywho, America’s Test Kitchen has a number of Chocolate Chip cookie recipes. They divide them based on classic, thick and chewy, and thin. I prefer the thick and chewy recipe and it is the best chocolate chip cookie that I’ve ever tasted. The only problem, which is completely my fault, is that these cookies are ALWAYS huge when I make them (a good problem to have). Cheese Bread and Brown Sugar Pound. On: August 20, 2011. So, one of my wonderful brothers went off to school this morning. Earlier during his break, I came across a recipe for Cheese Bread and told him that I’d make it for him before he went off to school (I kind of spoil my brothers when it comes to food). On: June 24, 2011. I imagine that, like me, most foodies have a dish that they enjoy but cannot seem to make. And, it’s not from a lack of trying that we can’t. It’s just one thing or another. You research the dish. You pull together and cook as many recipes as you can. You taste and try and, for whatever reason, it is still beyond your grasp. For me, that “dish” is the egg roll.
