Decisions regarding what to plant where have resulted from rigorous analysis on the property to determine the unique characteristics of every block in each Bench. Analysis on Stan’s Bench resulted in Chardonnay and Riesling being positioned on the cooler, higher elevation part of the bench, whereas late ripening varietals of Petit Verdot and Malbec were planted in the lower areas featuring the highest Degree Days of anywhere on the Culmina property.
