http://californiacoastalhome.blogspot.com/2016/12/fustus-was-not-just-cat.html
Thursday, December 29. Festus Was Not "Just A Cat". Sadly, last July 28th, we had to say good-bye to our beloved Festus. He was 16 years old and became very ill suddenly and pasted away. It was a shock to us and to be honest we are still not yet over it. When I told a few people I knew, about his passing away, they looked at me blankly with a "he was just a cat, so get over it" look on their face and said nothing. They didn't say anything like, "I'm so sorry for your loss". The Love of My Life. Roger's G...

Thursday, January 12. Updating My Bar Cart. The house has been pretty bare looking since the Christmas tree has been stored away, Before. Christmas and putting the tree up though, I had added a bar cart to this space in our living room last. Summer. I would have liked to have turned it into a hot beverage cart for Christmas, but there was no. Where to put it with the tree up. So it had to live in the garage for a few weeks. From Cottage Coastal to Modern Coastal. Crevasses, it would have taken forever.

Tuesday, November 29. I Went A Little Over Board {Nautical Pun Intended}. I don't think that I've ever purchased this many tree ornaments in a single season before. Usually I use my clear/white/silver ones and maybe add a few new DIY ones for fun. But I could not stop obsessing about the aquatic tree last year from Roger's Gardens. By obsessing, I mean thinking about it all year! I loaded up my cart and proceeded to the check out where I also earned some Kohl's cash for my purchase. I returned a few ...

http://californiacoastalhome.blogspot.com/2016/11/a-thrifted-christmas-tree-score_10.html
Friday, November 25. A Thrifted Christmas Tree Score. After lugging the 3 monster sized, box-less tree sections home in my SUV, I set about unwrapping and cutting the old Christmas lights off. It took several hours, because boy, those fancy-schmancy trees are intricately wrapped! I kid you not, it took forever. But you know what? It was totally worth it. The tree pole has four different plugs up and down the trunk, which makes it so easy to add the lights without needing to hide an unsightly outlet strip!

http://californiacoastalhome.blogspot.com/2016/12/coastal-christmas-craft-from-curb-find.html
Tuesday, December 6. Coastal Christmas Craft From a Curb Find and a Tutorial. I haven't posted a craft tutorial in quite awhile, so I guess I'm overdue. This one just sort of happened and was not at all planned. Those are the crafts I think I enjoy the most, not the ones that you have to rack your brain on, trying to dream up for a blog post. I took it to my little studio and got out my can of free paint (from the recycling center) and painted the entire inside, leaving the rest unpainted. I cut out each...
