A dear friend of mine, has tagged me in a blog questionnaire thingamajig. The next few posts will contain my answers. If you could have anyone (dead or alive) paint or photograph a portrait of you, who would it be and why? I love Chuck Close’s portraits. They are huge and colorful and intricate. I love that he can paint a bunch of squiggly shapes and squares that result in a perfect portrait! For an example, see this. He uses small brushstrokes, sometimes even fingerprints. 2 Responses to “”. Williams Fi...

One of my favorite photos from Halloween, because every blog post needs a picture. My girl friends and I drove to San Francisco for the weekend to help Jae. Move out there. We attended a regional YSA Halloween party in Berkeley. I was the yellow teletubby. What’s the next book you’re actually going to read? The Eclectic Thoughts of Peter Wilson. Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Where do we go after we die? King’s Cross, of course! Ghosts also seem to be afraid of death, and are another fascinating subject to learn about death in Harry Potter. Harry goes to Nearly Headles. S Nick in an informative scene in the fifth book, asking him whether Sirius could return as a ghost. Nick tells Harry that Sirius will not come back, but will have "gone on." Upon further questioning, he tells Harry, “. I was afraid of death.

The Eclectic Thoughts of Peter Wilson. Thursday, May 1, 2014. A smiling, snow-shoveling, storytelling 88-year old. Talking to hundreds of people weekly in Japan caused me to realize that most people really are not. Perhaps as a missionary, however, I was a biased judge, because many are less than thrilled at the prospect of talking to someone who asks awkwardly personal questions and wants to discuss, of all things,. I made a comment or complaint about the cold. Shimohara-san said, “I spent thr...He was ...

Friday, December 3, 2010. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Was simply delightful. Petra, crusader castles, ancient Roman cities, a polyandrous date, new friends from Lebanon, and of course, King Abdullah and King Hussein. The people of Jordan love their king and after seeing his face everywhere for four days I think I love him too. And here's a final picture just for fun. It was actually taken in Jerusalem, not Jordan, but I love it all the same. Welp, Happy Hanukkah everyone! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Stephanie Jean: The End?

http://leesisters123.blogspot.com/2011/01/end.html

Monday, January 17, 2011. There's a part of me that groans inside every time a friend innocently asks, "How was Jerusalem? And I, knowing that they don't have enough time or attention span to listen to the detailed answer I would like to give them, reply with a simple "great! I worry that every time I give my one-word answer this complex, 4-month-long section of my life becomes cemented in my mind as a simple, one-word experience. And on that note, my friends, I would like to conclude this adventure.
