A place to set down thoughts, experiences, moments of this blessed life I live. Tuesday, February 2, 2010. New things are happening in my kitchen. Here is what I have done in the last week:. Made homemade chicken stock. Made spouts with quinoa. Made homemade cream of mushroom soup (for casseroles). Cooked most of our meals from scratch. Cooked and baked with coconut oil. Made homemade Thai coconut chicken soup. I've also stopped buying:. Boxed mac and cheese. Canned soups, chili, spaghettios.

We don't get a lot of rain here, so it was nice and cozy. Throughout the morning the clouds dissipated and the sun shone bright and cheery. We quickly pulled on socks, shoes and jackets to head outside for the first time in way too long. A puddle perfect for jumping into, riding through, and splashing rocks was filled with the sky and the sun.

Sunday, December 11, 2011. Crayon Art on Canvas Tutorial! So I've been on Pinterest. A LOT (addicted much) and I keep on seeing these really cool crayon art pieces on canvas. Sooooo I decided to try it out! Note: This was my second try. the first one didn't look all that great, I think this one was little better. I decided to make this into a small tutorial to show you how it's done. Blank Canvas (any size). Crayons (new or old, i used old ones). Newspaper (the crayons tend to splatter). Have a Mice Day!
