The story of a small girl with big, creative ambitions. Monday, 18 April 2011. And she's back in the game. Well, I'm still in a lot of pain! But I've decided that it's time to cowboy up and just get on with things :) After a lovely relaxing weekend that was mostly spent drinking tea (gin) in the garden, I finally finished my curtain dress project. I look at Richard Armitage a lot, mainly because he's just beautiful. I love this tutorial. On how the washing up got done in the 1940s! This is the best recipe for vanilla cupcakes. Instead of the icing though, try whisking up some buttercream, add a little rose syrup, and you have the dreamiest butterfly cakes ever.

Sometimes, my internet likes to stop working. Which makes me cry, and then I put a record on and read a book and feel much better :). Random side note. I listen to a lot of vinyl, and this always feels completely natural. Then yesterday, I played a CD while getting dressed for work and it felt totally old-fashioned. Weird, huh? I WANT THIS MUG!

Tuesday, August 2, 2011. This weekend, we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe that a year has already passed! We had attempted to plan a last-minute weekend getaway, but it never really panned out, so we celebrated at home for two nights instead of one!
