While that may be true, on Monday, there are a lot of excuses, parent phone calls, break-ups, make-ups, bad hair days, tears, rallies, study sessions, essays, tardies and dress code violations until Friday. We need something to look forward to in the mean time. That is what Cupcake Wednesdays are for!

Being that it's the first Wednesday in March, and, to me, March means spring (even if it is 65 outside), so I chose a fun, fruity cupcake for today, with a bright, spring-like cupcake wrapper! Sunday, October 16, 2011. On Sunday afternoon, 10 little costumed girls (and one darling boy) got together at Rubie's house for costumes and crafts. This photo was taken before the party started and Henry didn't want to have his picture taken with all of the girls. The party was great and the kids all had so much fun. For me, the highlight of the whole event was Rubie's costume. She was dressed as Beyonce (All the single ladies. All the single ladies.). Bet they had a great time at the party!

Friday, December 24, 2010. This year we went to see Santa on Christmas Eve. We got there first thing in the morning so Leilani could be first in line. As always, she was ready to go with her Christmas Wish List in hand. Aunt Callie and Grandpops took the book with them to Toys R Us and were stopped multiple times during their visit by parents and store employees demanding to know what company made the wish list and where they could get one for their kids. Santa was pretty impressed with the book too.

Thursday, July 14, 2011. Yesterday the little martial artist tested for her green belt in Taekwon Do. She and Rubie both did very well. The green belt is the first intermediate belt level. After months of debate and discussion, we opted to send her to a school in our district (instead of our neighborhood school). She's been counting the days all summer. Saturday, April 30, 2011. Early the morning of the 30th, we all set out for the Happiest Place on Earth to celebrate The Navarros. Leilani went on her first TWO rollercoasters. First she tackled Big Thunder Mountain. Then she dared the Toon Town Coaster. The wait for Captain EO was more exciting for some of us than others. This expression is one of the things I love most about Rubie. She is never afraid to let you know EXACTLY how she feels! I love that kid! We love you Navarro Family!
