painting in the barn: February 2015
http://ingridellison.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 9, 2015. Yesterday, at last. My otherwise perfect studio has had its fair share of hiccups this winter in the heat department. I had my trusty friend George, thank-you! Come by and jigger the Rinnai this week so that yesterday, Sunday, I got to spend the entire afternoon finishing up a painting that I had set aside in the deep freeze. It feels a little winter in palette and summer in content. Wishful thinking to warmer climes? 24x24" oil, mixed media on panel. Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

painting in the barn: another day in June
http://ingridellison.blogspot.com/2015/06/another-day-in-june.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Another day in June. A wet day in June. Stranded in the studio. Chasing an idea that has been percolating for months. Beginning with one novel: We the Drowned. And ending with another: Moby Dick. In between there were a lot of experiments. False starts and drawings. Of waves and nets and shipwrecks. Of night skies and cast lines. Of floating and being swept to shore. Its all paint and pencil. Brush and line and color. June 30, 2015 at 4:33 AM. July 14, 2015 at 6:53 AM.

painting in the barn: what's new
http://ingridellison.blogspot.com/2015/07/whats-new.html
Monday, July 6, 2015. Well, there's lots to talk about. July kicked of with a little birthday, HBD 18th to my bestie daughter, a little sun, a little rain, a little visit from Boston pals, plus a little fireworks, eating, hiking and swimming. Now, Monday morning I am back at it. For the upcoming show in August at The Cynthia Winings Gallery. Up in Blue Hill, Maine, I think I've got another one ready to go. Red lines 16x16, oil on panel. I also was just offered a solo show in January of 2016!
