Friday, August 23, 2013. Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer. It's been quite a while since I actually posted. My life has been incredibly busy in the real world, leaving not a lot of time to do things in the virtual world. I think that people have the mistaken idea that a virtual designer has no desire to be outside, but that's not true! Take care, and see you all soon! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Curious Seamstress: Jan 9, 2014
http://gwd-greenwooddesigns.blogspot.com/2014_01_09_archive.html
Thursday, January 9, 2014. New Year and New Items! What an agonizingly cold start to the year we've had. In my neck of the woods, it's been as low as -25 degrees Fahrenheit on a couple of mornings. Add in the wind chills and we're talking -50 degrees or so. I'm not the only person in the US to suffer such winter indignities and there is some solace in that! Now for the new stuff! Five new gowns, Regency to late Victorian. I do hope you see something in here you'd like to wear! A lovely mid Victorian gown.

The Curious Seamstress: Artist and Mission statement
http://gwd-greenwooddesigns.blogspot.com/p/artist-and-mission-statement.html
Artist and Mission statement. My goal is to accurately recreate historically based ensembles and share them with other Second Life residents. It is part art, part passion, and all about preserving the work and memories of Victorian, Edwardian, and 1920 era fashion designers for a new, digital generation.". It took a while before I understood that what I do is art. I blame this revelation on my sister, Ghilayne. She is the one who said to me one day, 'You're an artist for God's sake! Until then, I will co...

Sunday, February 22, 2015. New releases and news. It's been over a year since I last posted. In that time, I've been busy building a new career in the real world. http://gwd-greenwooddesigns.blogspot.com/2013_10_11_archive.html
Friday, October 11, 2013. What fun, fall is here! I do love October, mostly for Halloween, which is what I consider the start of the holiday season! So in the last week I released four new 1920s Dresses. The prices for these dresses have also been lowered. The reasons behind that are simple. I'm just offering the garment and nothing more for these items, and so can charge less. Now, I've four sweet and sexy sizzlers for the start of my fall lines. This is a designer inspired dress. NB Here is the little ...

The Curious Seamstress: The flagship store, Mieville
http://gwd-greenwooddesigns.blogspot.com/p/new-store-rosewood.html
The flagship store, Mieville. We had to close down the old store of Blisswood in the fall of 2010. I was quite saddened to do it, but the owner of the sim had decided to let the land go. It was a sign of the times, as people tightened their fiscal belts for the wild downward spiral of the 'Great Recession'. Blisswood closed its doors on Friday, September 24th, 2010. Now I must add that Rosewood was closed in early 2014. I currently have the main shop at Mieville. It's listed in my picks. I'm a long time ...

The Curious Seamstress: Editorial on Customer Service
http://gwd-greenwooddesigns.blogspot.com/p/editorial-on-customer-service.html
Editorial on Customer Service. On Customer Service and Digital Seamstresses . . . It is a frustrating feeling. But back to the issue of non-delivery from Marketplace for #15. Now folks, I try to be understanding, I know there's another human on the other side of the screen, but this one was rude. After another few demanding IMs wanting the money back, I finally decided it wasn't worth the aggravation and ruination of my weekend, and I dropped the lindens back to #15. Who wants to be harassed? 19 What sof...
