Curious and Catcat

Tuesday, December 1. Every winter, when I was a kid, my father would make birdseed feeders from clay flower pots which he filled with birdseed and lard, and put a stick in the center of the pot (for the birds to cling on while feeding). The feeders where then hung upside down into the tree in front of our kitchen window. It's funny how these memories sometimes come back to us years later, isn't it? Fabric ribbons or fabric strips. Birdseed (I used a mixture of this. And so far the birdies seem to love it).

Curious and Catcat: Introducing: Boyfriend's Advent Calendar

http://www.curiousandcatcat.blogspot.com/2012/12/introducing-boyfriends-advent-calendar.html

Introducing: Boyfriend's Advent Calendar. Good morning, everybody! When I had everything together (which was basically on the last day of November), I put everything I had in 24 striped candy bags. Embellished them with numbers (free printable here. And closed them with some washi tape. Since I lacked a box in a proper size, I made one myself using some leftover cardboard and the same washi tape. Et voila! Simple and yet so beautiful! The boyfriend is happy, too! Curious and Catcat: Little Fox Rattle

http://www.curiousandcatcat.blogspot.com/2012/12/little-fox-rattle.html
