curiousdannii: First translation
http://curiousdannii.blogspot.com/2009/04/first-translation.html
Dannii's thoughts about stuff. Friday, April 17, 2009. So I thought I'd practice some translation for my upcoming exam. Here's Luke 15:8-9:. Okay, so the first thing I noticed was ἐχ, our favourite verb stem meaning to have. So I should be looking out for two nouns, one nominative and one accusative. γυνη is a singular nominative noun, which I looked up and means woman. δραχμας is a plural accusative which means silver coins. Or which woman having ten silver coins. And ἐαν means if. Σαροι is a verb meani...
curiousdannii: November 2008
http://curiousdannii.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Dannii's thoughts about stuff. Friday, November 21, 2008. Well now I'm in Japan, and have just finished OMF orientation. We've spent a couple of days learning a tiny amount of the language and a bit more about Japanese culture and religions. But first some observations about Japan. The thing that I found most surprising was how small the streets are! The food is pretty decent and some is moderately priced, though tomatoes aren't! We visited a Buddhist temple today, and one thing I noticed were what seeme...

curiousdannii: What's wrong with publishing ministries?
http://curiousdannii.blogspot.com/2010/01/whats-wrong-with-publishing-ministries.html
Dannii's thoughts about stuff. Sunday, January 10, 2010. What's wrong with publishing ministries? So today when I was looking at the music I was playing for church I read this, and finally realised why I think CCLI is wrong: "This score is illegal unless used with a CCLI licence. Please don't undermine our ministry - support it! Thank you to the few publishers which do offer all you have freely! April 9, 2010 at 8:24 PM. If you want to share your music with lots of people rather than just the people at y...
curiousdannii: What's wrong with multi-site churches
http://curiousdannii.blogspot.com/2011/05/whats-wrong-with-multi-site-churches.html
Dannii's thoughts about stuff. Wednesday, May 18, 2011. What's wrong with multi-site churches. At The Resurgence Gregg Allison has given a defense for multi-site churches. While his defense may address Mark Dever's concerns, it says nothing about what I think is wrong with multi-site churches: it stifles the principle of the priesthood of all believers. When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up. (ESV).

A Daily Dose of Daisy
Truth Fears No Questions. A Not So Daily Dose of Daisy. Master of living a random, unpredictable life. For a few years I have thought about getting a cool sticker for my laptop. I finally ordered a few and they came in the mail today. Check out my new sticker! And I let Lily pick which one she wanted for hers. Naturally she picked the camera. Like this:Like Loading…. Curious Dale
Thoughts, Essays, Tidbits and Diatribes by Dale Botha. We’re going to Ceres! NASA’s Dawn spacecraft is enroute and should arrive in February 2015. Considering we’ve known about it for over 2 centuries and it 3 times closer than Saturn and 10 times closer than Neptune and their moons, I’ve always been very surprised to see the fuzzy images we have of it. I used to Wolfram Alpha. To do a comparison (as well as to test WA and it’s interpretive capabilities) and it summarized it quite nicely. This means it h...

curiousdannii | We have no future because our present is too volatile.
We have no future because our present is too volatile. Kevin Rudd & slavery. The Bible also says that slavery is a natural condition. (Kevin Rudd, on Monday’s Q&A). Let’s just put this as simply as possible: Wrong! While the Bible does contain laws to ensure slaves would not be mistreated, and encourages emancipation if possible, nowhere does it suggest that anyone is naturally a slave. It says the opposite! It says that that all people are made in the. Romans 7:14-25, NLT). September 4, 2013. Https:/ cu...

CURIOUS DAVID
Life is one big adventure! Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Posted by Connie T. Yesterday, we went with our playgroup to the pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun. We went on a real hay ride and walked through the corn maze. It was neat. They also had a little play area set up for the kids. David really enjoyed it, so much I had a hard time getting him to leave. Go figure! I think we'll make this an annual trip as long as we're living in NC. Posted by Connie T.
