Mrs. Bartel's School Family: September 2014
http://mrsbartelsschoolfamily.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. Today they loved math journal time. Last Friday (after school) Mrs. Jones and I revamped and ramped up our math time. We love teaching and enjoy improving what we do. And when we find a great blogpost or TpT product we get really excited. That's what happened on Friday. Mrs. Jones showed me this post. And we got to thinking about interactive math journals. Today I modeled and talked through a journal entry. And then the kids had a try. Let me say- teacher heaven. Is there anyt...

the mrs. b blog: do you come from a land down under?
http://themrsbblog.blogspot.com/2014/03/do-you-come-from-land-down-under.html
Thursday, March 6, 2014. Do you come from a land down under? March has officially arrived, and that means All School Unit for my school. Last year, we spent the month deep in Mexico. And this year, we're heading to the land down under- Australia! I'm actually really looking forward to the ASU this year- having one under my belt now, I know what to expect and how much I need to (and don't need to) put into it to really make it great for my kids. Owl Things First!: July 2015
http://owlthingsfirst.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
I Love Pushing These Buttons! Friday, July 24, 2015. Five for Friday : Worm Freebie. I have done several things this week that I said I would never do. The first thing that I was never going to do was buy an Erin Condren planner. Planning is not my favorite part of teaching. I am a type B teacher. To check out these planners(and you don't have to be a teacher to find a planner to fit your life style! Using chopsticks to find gummy worms hidden in the rice sensory bin is lots of fun. For a little.and ...

Mrs. Bartel's School Family: December 2014
http://mrsbartelsschoolfamily.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. But close enough that the January Currently linky is up. I LOVE Friends, and this episode has me laughing out loud. The one where Rachel teaches Ben about practical jokes. I'm listening to/watching Friends from my comfy couch and warm blanket. Love this time of no time constrictions. Just happened to catch part of Mr. Greg. How often do I write in my Currently that I need to be healthier, eat better, exercise more? Add one more time. Welcome 2015- I have great ideas and fant...

the mrs. b blog: a mexican fiesta!
http://themrsbblog.blogspot.com/2013/03/a-mexican-fiesta.html
Thursday, March 28, 2013. Thank goodness it is finally Easter break. As I mentioned before, during the entire month of March, our entire school was studying Mexico. Our month was NUTS! The kindergarten teacher and I went back and forth on whether we would have our kiddos do this or if we would do it for them- she ended up doing it for her kids, and I ended up letting mine do it themselves. I am so glad I decided that! Add in the crazy fun of Food Day, Fun Day (piñatas! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Mrs. Bartel's School Family: Real Talk
http://mrsbartelsschoolfamily.blogspot.com/2015/08/real-talk.html
Thursday, August 13, 2015. As some of my Periscope friends will say. This is going to be Real. The straight truth, as I see it. I've been having trouble getting excited about the new school year. Yes, eager, but excited has not been my most common feeling. And as I reflect on today, the range of emotions is exhausting. Delighted in the morning to get the last few items crossed off my list to be ready for Meet the Teacher. Nervous in the afternoon about whether I forgot something. Now I am relieved. My st...

A Peach for the Teach: January 2014
http://apeachfortheteach.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 8, 2014. It's Wednesday, and Curious Firsties. Is hosting a link-up where teachers can share something that went well for them during the week. This week, we've been experiencing bitterly cold temperatures, thanks to the polar vortex. All schools were closed in the area! The wind chill hit -35 at one point yesterday! My cousin and I made cotton candy with my new, small cotton candy maker. We made it "for her son" (but really for us, haha! A future incentive, perhaps? I'm thinking that ...
