Sarah (aka Curious Pip) creates magically unique dolls, miniatures and illustrations. Her charming pocket sized starlets are inspired by a fantastical world of old Hollywood, showgirls, fairy tales and dusty old children's books. When she grew up she worked as an actor in the theatre. But desire to turn her ever constant sketching and making into her own full time niche began in January 2011 when she started writing her blog Curious Pip. Sarah lives and works in Bristol with her husband and son.

Where can I buy your Pip dolls and illustrations? Most of the dolls showcased on my social media pages I list in my Etsy shop. If you don't find them there it may be that I have sold privately or it's a commissioned piece. They do tend to sell very quickly once listed so you may need to be quick! In my shop you can also purchase my art prints, postcards and miniature doll face pins and decorations. I don't currently stock anywhere else I'm afraid. How much are your dolls? Sarah's quirky characters bring to mind a feeling of nostalgia, glamour and charm. Each doll is fully imagined and her collection of new and vintage fabrics form a dressing up box of possible outfits. Every piece created is entirely unique and reminiscent of another time. Sarah's paintings and illustrations are very much inspired by illustrators of the 1930's and 40's. Working mostly in gouache she creates beautiful scenes of sizzling style and glamour. The miniature doll faces Sarah creates can be hung on mirrors, pinned to coats, bags or curtains. They can be displayed as wearable art or even popped in a box frame.
