So - the day was taken up with shopping, visiting mum, walking her dog, taking her and the dog to the vets and so on. But in the evening I went with my sister and her two daughters for a sunset drive on The Touring Tea Bus.

Here are the other pictures I took of the statues of Godred Crovan and King Olaf in Ramsey. King Olaf is remembered as a great statesman. So - here they sit, outside the Courthouse building in Ramsey, playing chess. I clearly found myself more taken with the older warrior Godred than younger, statesmanlike, Olaf - I took more pictures of him! And a close up of their chess pieces -.
