Tales From the Old Days. As I look back, I am in awe of my Mom having the 3 of us, cooking with a JC Higgins camp stove and playing cards at night to the light of a Coleman. I remember driving to Plymouth and getting white gas from an Amoco station to fuel the stove and lantern. Mom would make the most amazing blueberry pancakes on that stove with the berries we picked. The light was harsh, and there were a lot of cars parked, being a beautiful summer Sunday and all. As time goes by, I plan do re-do some of them with fewer cars in the way and under betting lighting conditions. Special thanks to the guys on the basketball court who cooperated while I parked myself in the middle of their game.
