Although CURLS may be known for its elaborate and meticulously planned pranks and hoaxes, it is often instructive to examine some of the less demanding of their works, particularly those from their middle, or "blue", period. A good example is their artistic re-interpretation of the statue of Hermes in Whewell's Court in Trinity College. Using only minimal physical resources, a dramatic effect was nonetheless achieved, as can be seen in the accompanying photograph.
