As we come to the end of our mission to Indonesia, we have had ample opportunities to be with the kind and loving members here in Solo. As I reviewed all of my pictures this week, there were just so many that I wanted to include that there is going to be 4 postings of photos. Ahh, I was wrong about the tide going OUT! And here's the actual street for "motors and mobils." (Motorcycles and cars). At most semaphore con...

Here one of the female workers is drawing the first step (of 8 to 10 steps) with wax on a stenciled pattern on cloth. Only women do this kind of batik. Here is another type of batik know and stamped batik. This is only done by men. Here is a close-up of his finished product. Pure silver. We also attended the Ramayana Ballet. I also got some videos! A way to keep both sides of the world updated! Sunday, June 30, 2013. DIDN'T I TELL YOU IT WOULD COME! Today is the last day of June! Wasn't it just yesterday that I was telling you I was locked in some space-time continuum? That it was the first of June and in a blink it would be the first of July. Not that there is anything wrong with July. I know some pretty wonderful people who are born in July. This week, on the 5th, will be Master Isaac's 7th birthday! Which brings us to Tuesday! We always take a t...

A way to keep both sides of the world updated! Sunday, September 30, 2012. Dear Kind Friends and Family,. We are so grateful for your notes of concern for all of the protests, and the "not friendlies" being arrested nearby. As we told many of you, we have always felt safe and the only warning we have received was to stay away from large gathering groups. Then we scooted to take the Knorpps home, and zoom off to piano. Dari hati kami,. Elder and Sister Greenway. Monday, September 24, 2012. We are safe and...

A way to keep both sides of the world updated! Sunday, March 24, 2013. That Was the Week That Was! This past week was the Readers Digest Condensed version of a normal week! Important. When we got to the kitchen sink, our testimony of how these Elders are protected skyrocketed out of the solar system. OH THAT SINK. Anyway, we told them we were going to buy them a dish tub. To do there dishes. We explained that they needed to be generous with the dish soap, and to also put a few drops of Clorox. The rest o...

A way to keep both sides of the world updated! Sunday, July 28, 2013. Hello to our ever diligent family and friends, (either that or you are gluttons for punishment! This week was Elder Greenway's birthday! I will tell you about that in a minute, BUT I think I failed to mention it in last week's letter! However, what would July be without Jackson's birthday (30th) or Ty's birthday (31st)? This is such a lie, that I may get struck down BEFORE I can finish this letter). Happy Birthday! The shoes were too b...

A way to keep both sides of the world updated! Monday, May 27, 2013. Welcome, welcome Sabbath Morning, Now we rest from every care. I dunno, I just gave Ty permission to pull up my ailing Plum Tree. I have babied it for about 5 years now, and I think it has finally succumbed to the dreaded Black Rot. Oh well, maybe I'll bring home a mango tree! On a brighter note! Master Luke is celebrating his numero uno birthday this week! He is walking all over the place, and generally acting his age. What a cutie!
