My Reflections and Impressions. Where religion and reason meet. Children of God Series. December 29, 2010. Why I Got Disqus’ted. This blog has has gotten a lot more traffic than commenting. I am figuring that this is doe to a problem I had somewhere within my code. Where do I start to track it down? My pages would turn to a blank white page seemingly at random. It was a white page of horror. So I picked through my widgets and started there. I Get Disqus’ted. Why Did I NOT Use Blogger’s System? Blogger ha...

My Reflections and Impressions. Where religion and reason meet. Children of God Series. August 1, 2012. Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day thoughts. Here are a few facts about the Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day. The Cathy's are known Christians. Their business has donated money to pro-traditional marriage groups. When asked about their position on marriage, the liberal media and all "equal rights" groups acted shocked to hear their answer. Here is an interesting quote. Posted by: Oscar Gecko. My Reflections and Impressions: January 2011
http://oscargecko.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
My Reflections and Impressions. Where religion and reason meet. Children of God Series. January 26, 2011. Contradictions and the Bible. Why was it that King David sent Bathsheba's husband on the front line to die was a sin? Yet, he would send armies out, many would die and this was not as sin? And that is not to mention all of the people from other places that died in the wars he started. Why isn't that also a sin? Why does water seem to contradict the facts? It isn't until we gain a deeper understanding...

My Reflections and Impressions: February 2011
http://oscargecko.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
My Reflections and Impressions. Where religion and reason meet. Children of God Series. February 16, 2011. Abortion's blind eye to our past. One argument in favor of keeping abortions legal is the fear of having them performed illegally and unsafely. It is the infamous coat hanger images of botched abortions in dark alleys of yesterday that we want to stay away from. A coat hanger "should never be a surgical device" is the cry among some of the supporters. "Never going back" is another. Links to this post.

If you haven't heard, he's the teen that was shot by the neighborhood watch guy, George Zimmerman. While it was a sad and tragic death, I am not going to weigh in on this too much. Many people have weighed in their opinion. But I see a disturbing trend in their opinions. Rep Bobby Rush, D-Ill. wore a hoodie. Students are holding " Hoodie Day. Would they accept it?

My Reflections and Impressions. Where religion and reason meet. Children of God Series. May 19, 2011. NARAL, Pro-Choice America. What an interesting organization. They spout out "reasons" that abortion should be legal. Their whole premises centers around a woman being able to make a choice on their own. And they churn out emails and petition politicians and ask for your money because you may feel that their cause is worth the fight. Have they ever looked at the statistics? The NARAL's best (yet debatable...

My Reflections and Impressions. Where religion and reason meet. Children of God Series. June 29, 2011. Is America a Secular Nation or Christian Nation? Many groups tout that America is a secular nation. They claim that Separation of Church and State is a fundamental part of the First Amendment. They don't want Congress to make any law respecting. Of or pertaining to worldly things or to things that are not regarded as religious, spiritual, or sacred; temporal: secular interests. So it must be what we are.

My Reflections and Impressions. Where religion and reason meet. Children of God Series. April 26, 2011. Quite a large number of people claim to be Christian. Christians are a minority. But don't Christians make up the majority? Claims are one thing. But let's break down the numbers and see what they say. Many reports claim that Atheists make up roughly 14-17% of the population. (See Friendly Atheist. That leaves 56% of America who claim to be Christian, yet they don't attend church. 56%. If it we...That ...
