This morning before I caught the train from Kyoto to Kobe, I dropped by the Kyoto Tower to get a final view of Kyoto fro above. It was nothing too special, however it's always healthy to get a good view of your surroundings. View in a direction, not sure which one. Some sort of thing on a hill. I woke and checked out of my hotel on the morning of new years eve, and walked down to the beach to see what type of activity there was. The heat and the coastal breeze worked well to make it feel like a great summer day, great enough that after walking up and down the beach-side path and witnessing my first topless sunbather I celebrated with a beer at a beach-side cafe. After coming down from the top I took the side path down to the borderline at the Yalu River. The feeling of boundary was severely dented by the Chinese girl who'd hopped the fence to wash her cloths in the river, while the Chinese border guards carried on the operation of the snack stand 15 feet away.
