Summer 2007: week 2
http://cusp-nyc-jmk225.blogspot.com/2007/06/week-2.html
Wednesday, June 20, 2007. This Week’s Activities. This week I coded the pre and post tests for the spring session of the workshop. I based my coding on the results of the meeting I had with the two creators of the program last week. I also ran the data through excel to test for significance. Not to my surprise, no significance was found. But I couldn’t expect much from an N of 6! I also plan on finishing my literature and my proposal this weekend. Next Week’s Activities. This more than doubled the first ...

Wednesday, June 20, 2007. This Week’s Activities. Next Week’s Activities. On Monday I have a meeting with my Advisor. On Tuesday and Wednesday I plan on finishing my Lit. Review so that I can hand it in on Thursday. In my other time I will continue to work on my qualitative data analysis. Topics for this Thursday. PAR research: I would like to discuss PAR and be able to classify my project into one of the categories. I would also like to know the difference between PAR and service learning.
Summer 2007: Week 3
http://cusp-nyc-jmk225.blogspot.com/2007/06/week-3.html
Wednesday, June 27, 2007. This Week’s Activities. This week I completed a draft of my proposal. The majority of my time was spent researching and reading articles for my literature review. Since the lit. review is a ‘living’ part of my project I don’t really feel a sense of accomplishment at this point with my draft. Non-the-less, my proposal outlines my new goals and methods for the project. What motivates you to teach/participate/implement the EPS class? How can project activities be improved? My goal ...

Thursday, July 19, 2007. This Week’s Activities. This week has been very busy. I transcribed my last interview and finished up my data analysis for the 4-H group. I still need to go through the short answer section of the TWKAHA surveys. I have also been talking with many of the students about the format of the final reception. For only 20 minutes of time there is a lot of thought going into this. Next Week’s Activities. Thursday, July 12, 2007. This Week’s Activities. Next Week’s Activities. To make thi...

Alex - CUSP 2007: CUSP blogging
http://cusp-nyc-ak383.blogspot.com/2007/06/cusp-blogging.html
Alex - CUSP 2007. E enjte, 21 qershor 2007. This is a good opportunity for students to practice writing for the public. This makes them think for whom they are posing their messages to and why. I think this is quite a challenging task because most students used to post something like diaries on their own blogs, and they have limited experience of posting thoughts about their learning. By typing their blogs students will be able to better remember and learn from their experience. What information to post?

I hope that this year I will also develop some meaningful and long-term collaboration with environmental educators in NYC. See other messages for more information about my current research project. On the Cusp of the O. Life with JLO, SVO, LJ and Lu. Saturday, June 29, 2013. On the Cusp of the Double O. It's true- there is a new adventure waiting for JLO, LJ and me coming December 2013: being a family of four! We are now currently, as JLO's cousin so poetically stated it, On the Cusp of the Double O. No, not twins, but one little nugget who is due to arrive mid-December.
