CUSTOM BITS AND SPURS. Click to enlarge image). Seven and one half inch long shanks. Forged mouthpiece five and one eighth inches wide,. With copper stripes in the port. Port is one and seven eighths inches tall. Mounted with sterling silver. Engraving on silver and steel. The bit has a modified California-style hinge, with nice movement from front to back and side to side, but it doesn't swivel all the way around. All the internal hinge parts are stainless steel.

CUSTOM BITS AND SPURS. In 2004, Stewart sold the feedyard so he could devote all of his time to building gear and engraving. He and Toni moved to Portales, NM and he opened a shop. Stewart's goal is to make pieces that are both functional and pleasing to the eye. He continues to study the craft and strives to make each new piece better than the last one.
