A little bit of history. At the edge of a water filled gravel pit, opposite waste ground and bordering the A27 at the end of Quarry Lane in Chichester, the site was originally a cement works called Coles Yard. Looking like a bomb site when Geoff and Richard bought it in late 1968 (date needed), it was transformed slowly into a workshop with a sort of roof, and a shop/showroom. A little bit of history. This site will offer an insight into the early years of the custom bike and car scene in the UK from the perspective of someone who was involved in the commercial side of it, making and selling parts and services, trying to earn a living from it. I hope to cover the period from 1969 to 1981 when I was part of the process. Putting these two businesses together unleashed the "Rodding Scene".
