Saturday, January 24, 2009. Xander had a blast playing in the snow. Well, mostly he scooped some up in a shovel and flung it (you know, like he does with dirt. and sand. :P).but obviously his favorite thing was eating it :D. I just can't relate. But I'm glad he had so much fun! When he was done he came in, washed his hands, told me he was ready for a nap, and went to bed. Is that all I have to do for him to want to take a nap! Wednesday, February 29, 2012. This kid might not eat much, but put a lollipop of any kind in his hand and it will be gone in a matter of minutes. And of course, you can't eat a lollipop without your cool dude sunglasses on! Friday, February 17, 2012. The one thing she and Emma definitely share in common is their love of books. If we can't find Olivia, or it's gotten a little too quiet, you can bet she's sitting on her floor "reading.". Olivia maybe little, but her shoe obsession has already taken shape.

Saturday, July 28, 2012. Today we celebrated Grandma Carpenter turning 80 years young! All the grandkids drove up to Queen Creek to meet Grandma and Grandpa at the Olive Garden for dinner. We left our kids at home and made it an adults only event. Everyone was able to make it, except for Benjamin and Katie, who are in Colorado. It was really nice to see everyone and to be able to celebrate the birthday of such a wonderful and sweet woman as Grandma Carpenter! We love you Grandma, Happy Birthday!

Sunday, August 12, 2012. I forgot to take a before picture of the nightstand, but it was entirely the color of the wood top, and the hardware was a brassy gold. We sanded, primed, and painted it a sage green using glossy spray paint, and also repainted the hardware. I really like how it turned out, and nothing sticks to the top : ) Next up, the dresser! Monday, October 31, 2011. Doesn't that look good? I usually use my bread maker, but since it was for our Halloween feast, I decided to go homemade. It was pretty tasty if I do say so myself! Our main course, Ghoul-osh. Cooked in a witch's cauldron, of course! I couldn't find a Halloween tablecloth that I liked, so I went with black and got these cute plates at Target. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. So I feel like we fell off the face of the earth there for awhile. Where do I start? November was definitely crazy. We had a great time visiting Scott’s sister in the San Fran area. I busted out a couple of Christmas I-Spy quilts for Christmas presents, a baby quilt for a friend, and got things ready for Xander’s birthday party. Actually, my mom helped with most of those things – I couldn’t have done them by myself! Aquarium with some cousins. A little monster birthday bash.
