http://filmproducersdiary.blogspot.com/2015/07/filmmakers-forum-re-draft.html
Sunday, 12 July 2015. Filmmakers Forum - The Re-Draft. Yesterday I attended the Sargent-Disc BAFTA Filmmakers Forum. And gathered some golden nuggets of wisdom to remember and share. These are from the session on The Re-Draft. And here is another post on Managing Production on Independent Films. The first wonderful women to take the stage for these anecdotal conversations were Desiree Akhavan (Director, Writer and Actress) and Cecilia Frugiuele (Producer) who worked together on. It's a great way of think...

Producer's Diary: October 2010
http://filmproducersdiary.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 13 October 2010. We've just spend the last week in pitch training at the Central School of Speech and Drama. There are a few tricks we learnt - mainly we did a lot of breathing exercises. Sunday, 8 May 2011. From San Francisco was in London this weekend promoting her new book Casting Revealed. And hosting a Q&A session. For producers, directors and actors. It was interesting to note some of the subtle distinctions between working in the UK and in the States - the actor's union seems to be more demanding of producers/directors over there, which may be a good thing. Here are some interesting tidbits of advice from the seminar. Use the internet - nobody does open casting calls anymore. When ...

http://carloortu.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 17 December 2013. The last two months have been busy. I sold my flat and have a new place in sunny Bournemouth lined up for the new year along with a new job at Bournemouth Arts University. I got an agent and am now represented by Nic Knight Management. I also wrote a book which I have been polishing. It's my first and is in the same vein as Elmore Leonard, James Ellroy and George Pelecanos. I loved writing it and have another planned. I also helped my old friend Jonny Flint. It’s here ...
