Monday, November 2, 2009. We flew to Campinas for the annual mission president and wife training for all mission presidents from Brazil. The instructors for the training from Sunday to Wednesday evening were Elder Richard G. Scott, Elder Jay E. Jensen and our Area Presidency, Elders Soares, Ellis and Godoy. Friday, April 30, 2010. Curt herniated some disks on January 2, 2010. We don’t know how it happened. I was teasing Curt that it was caused by our trip to the waterfall at Canela where we had to hike down and then back up 767 steel stairs. Thursday, October 27, 2011. A day at the zoo. In September Curt and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary by going to the Zoo . The Zoo isn't huge or elaborate, but it was very fun, and we saw some beautiful birds and some interesting monkeys. There were lions and tigers and capybaras too. We are serving a public affair mission in the Pacific Area and are now living in New Zealand. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Pioneer day in Samoa. July 22, 2009. The blue star fish is my favorite because it is such a bight blue lying on the white coral and makes such a great contrast. We also saw an eel that was all the way out of its hole just lying on the sand. It had really different designs on its back which kind of resembled a rattle snake or something similar.
